Elden Ring Palace Approach Ledge Road Location And Route Guide
The Palace Approach Ledge Road is widely considered one of the most famous locations in Elden Ring due to its unmatched potential for earning runes quickly. Nestled deep within the underground realm of Mohgwyn Palace, this specific Site of Grace offers players a safe viewpoint overlooking resting enemies and high-value targets. Finding your way to this cliffside path requires traveling through specific late-game areas or progressing through key character sidequests.
Reaching Mohgwyn Palace via White Mask Varre
The fastest route to access the Mohgwyn Palace region early in your journey is by completing the questline given by White Mask Varré. After fulfilling his initial requests and invading other players, Varré rewards you with the Pureblood Knight's Medal. Activating this item directly from your inventory immediately teleports your character to the Dynasty Mausoleum grounds.
Once you arrive at the mausoleum entrance, turn around and travel down toward the blood-filled valley below. Ride Torrent through the red waters while hugging the cliff edge on your left to avoid patrolling creatures. Continuing along this left ridge leads directly up to the cliffside where the Palace Approach Ledge Road Site of Grace rests.
Using the Consecrated Snowfield Teleporter
If you prefer a natural progression path without participating in multiplayer invasions, you can access the area via the Consecrated Snowfield. This late-game snow zone requires collecting both halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion to operate the Grand Lift of Rold. Once inside the icy wilderness, make your way toward the far western edge of the map.
Near the cliffs northwest of Yelough Anix Ruins, an invading NPC named Sanguine Noble will attack your character. Defeating this enemy activates a hidden Waygate teleporter coated in blood sitting near the cliff edge. Stepping through this portal transports you directly into the dark caves of Mohgwyn Palace, just a short trek from the ledge.
Navigating to the Ledge Road Grace
Upon exiting the arrival cave in Mohgwyn Palace, you will overlook a vast cavern filled with giant skeletal summons and passive Albinaurics. To navigate safely, summon Torrent and carefully follow the cliff wall on your left side. Moving along the perimeter helps you bypass the aggressive blood mages and giant monsters guarding the center valley.
As you ascend the gradual slope near the cavern entrance, you will spot a glowing site of grace situated on a high cliff. Resting at this checkpoint unlocks the Palace Approach Ledge Road fast-travel point permanently. From here, players gain an advantageous position to overlook the valley, making it ideal for resetting combat encounters smoothly.
Maximizing Opportunities at the Ledge
This location has earned widespread acclaim among players because of the dense cluster of passive Albinaurics resting along the path. Utilizing broad area-of-effect skills or ranged attacks allows players to gather massive amounts of experience in short cycles. For players seeking to optimize their character builds, visiting this ledge remains a pivotal milestone during any playthrough.
